Most Challenging Stretch of the Year

Manny's bat throw appeal took a month.

19 days. However, I think the timing is usually dictated by when the player can be in NY for a hearing. With a day off on Monday, there's no reason Manny couldn't be in NY that day. I guess we'll see.

The next two weeks are the most challenging of the year so far. Four in Toronto, Three in Boston, three against Toronto at home.

10 games against the closest and most direct competition in the East.

I will take 5-5, what say you?

Yep .500 would be fine.

7 of the next 10 sounds acceptable to me. 8 or 9 would be better, but anything less than 7 would be a lil disappointing.

Anything less than 7-3 will be disappointing??? So 6-4 would be a disappointment?

I'd be ecstatic with 6-4.

I will take a split but I think the O's will do better than that. Maybe I should say I

hope they will do better.

1-0 after tonight's game.

Never concede a thing until the games have been played.

Case in point.

If somebody had asked me if I would have "taken" 6-4 before our most recent homestand, I would have said "No."

Granted, I also would have said "No" to 8-2 because that's the kind of guy I am.

2-0 after tomorrow night's game.

Never conceded anything until the games have been played.
