Gausman had pitched in 123 innings in his college year. He made 5 starts after we drafted him and 15 IP.

Sedlock pitched 101.1 this year. He was a reliever before then. Maybe we don't let him pitch because of the added innings is already a 70 inning increase from the year before. I think we'll see him make a couple 2-3 inning starts at Aberdeen.

"I want to thank the Baltimore Orioles organization for giving me this opportunity and making my dreams since I was 5 years old become reality," Sedlock said today at a Camden Yards press conference. ?I want to thank everyone that has been there from the start - my parents, who have made the trip here, all my past coaches at Illinois and high school. I can't wait to get some crab cakes, haven't gotten any yet. You know Baltimore has been so welcoming to me in my couple of days here. I'm really looking forward to the future and helping the big league squad as fast as possible."

Seems like a well spoken, intelligent young man. Let's celebrate for him and his family. Think of all the games attended and driven to by his parents and how happy all of them are today!!! Good for them!! Welcome, Cody!!! Go get you and your family some crab cakes!!!

So he signed right at slot then? And the second pick was about 400k over. Is that right?

Yes, that was our slot number. Nationals slot at #28 was 2.0659 million. They signed their guy, Carter Kieboom, on Friday, but the articles I saw did not disclose the amount he signed for.
