Those numbers are deceiving. Hunter was absolutely horrendous in high leverage situations with the Indians this year.

RISP- .381/.435/.476

2 outs, RISP- .333/.455/.444

Late and close- .348/.400/.565

Tie Game- .400/.438/.467

Within 1 run- .323/.382/.516

High leverage- .375/.444/.438

Medium leverage- .294/.333/.588

Well that definitely tempers my enthusiasm.

Should we be interested in a reunion?

Actually pitched fairly well out of the pen in Cleveland. 3.74 ERA, 1.20 WHIP.

Yes he hurt himself in mid-July but he is now pitching on a rehab assignment so it seems like he should be able to contribute this year.

3.74 out of the pen is fairly well? 3.83 is league average for an AL reliever. Fastball down 2 mph off his 2013-15 numbers.

Career FIP as a starter is 5.15.

What's Troy Patton or Luis Ayala up to these days?

Why? You think he lacks the ability to pitch in close games? Seems like it is probably a fluke.

Well even if it is a fluke. The O's already have a few guys in the pen pitching pretty poorly lately. Do we need another that might be prone to blowing leads?
