O's acquire Alec Asher - RHP

According to Roch's comments in his blog, the O's may have made a waiver claim. The plot thickens.  Anyone got any guesses? 

I'm guessing another arm for the bullpen, with an outside chance at an upgraded utility infielder.

With the O's history of revisiting ex-players.. I could see Albers to replace (possibly) Drake.

I could also see Gordon Beckham brought in for his experience.

All based on nothing.

Asher was 2-1 with a 2.28 ERA in five starts last year, 0-6 with a 9.31 ERA in 2015. #Orioles acquire him for cash or player to be named.

Pitched really well for the Phillies last year,,was seen as a prospect but doesn't K many guys. 2.18 ERA w 5.4 K/9 in AA/.AAA last year. Gave up 4 HR's in ST.
