Very interesting lineup tonight. Rickard and Valencia starting against a righty. Trumbo got 4 hits last night and is sitting out. And other sites show Cobb vs Covey as starting  pitchers.

The thing is, Trumbo should be the full time DH, period. He never should have been out there. If Buck is trying to show up Trumbo, he should be ashamed of himself when it was his decision to have Trumbo out there knowing exactly what Trumbo is and isn't capable of.

I don't think a DH as PH is worth a roster slot.

I think Danny Valencia's ability to play third base is keeping on the roster. Another sad commentary.

We have perhaps the best third baseman in the 150 year history of major league baseball on our 25 man roster..   But Jace Peterson is taking up a roster spot pretty much because he can almost approach being "adequate" at third base, and Danny Valencia is on the team because even though he isn't adequate at 3rd, he's probably a notch better than Alvarez.

I would be OK to DFA Pedro too. Whatever it takes to get Trumbo out of RF. Trading Trumbo would work too.

I'm starting to be in the camp of people thinking Buck is a bit nuts. Davis batting 5th? Valencia as the DH? Jace Peterson at 3rd?

Our lineup sucks tonight.
