Luke's Take: Defense first SS who got drafted last year despite missing the majority of the season. Athletic guy, uses his lower half well at the plate, but doesn't have the present strength or swing plane to hit for power. If he can get a bit stronger, looks to have the glove and contact skills for a utility role.

Senior. Sounds like another great defensive SS. Had TJ surgery last year.

2015: UCSB’s Opening Day starting shortstop as a true freshman, he went on to make 53 starts at the position ... In 179 ABs, hit .240 with a .295 OBP and .296 SLG to go along with eight doubles, one triple, 19 RBIs, 22 runs, 43 hits, 11 walks, and 33 strikeouts ... Noted as one of, if not the best, defensive shortstops in the Big West already ... Started off slowly with the bat, hitting just .125 after his first 13 games ... After two weeks out of the lineup in early March, really found his stroke, batting .343 between Mar. 20 and Apr. 21, raising his overall average 139 points in the process ... Laced an RBI single past the third base bag in the bottom of the 11th in a tie game against UC Irvine on May 16, giving UCSB a 3-2 win as part of a three-game sweep of the Anteaters ... Had three hits in a game twice, both coming in May ... Best offensive performance of the season came on May 21 at UC Riverside, as he went 3-5 with a double and a career-high four RBIs in a 20-2 UCSB win ... Had an error in reg. season finale, snapping his second 13-game errorless streak of the season ... Had a season-best six-game hit streak from Mar. 28 to Apr. 4 ... His 11 sacrifice bunts were the third most of any Big West player ... Went 0-5 with a walk in UCSB's two regional games ...
