So no pitcher minicamp this year?

I remember reading (probably Roch) that Donnie Hart was going down this month so they could see him. Said something like some people were going down there to familiarize themselves with the facilities. Nothing about a regular mini-camp tho.

Bleier, not Donnie Hart. It was Tuesday (1-7)  http://www.masnsports.com/school-of-roch/2019/01/updating-trumbo-and-bleier-recoveries-from-surgery.html

Bleier hasn’t met manager Brandon Hyde, but he’s reporting to the Ed Smith Stadium complex in Sarasota this week and could be there for a shortened minicamp that’s mostly in place to allow new hires to familiarize themselves with the facility.

Were those a "Buck thing"?   Or do other teams have them.

They were usually about now, or maybe next week.   Seeing as we don't have a pitching coach I'm guessing we aren't having one this year.

He used it to tell pitchers that they were pitching really well in the minors but that they’d never pitch for him unless they changed their mechanics and got quicker to the plate.

That’s because those pitchers never saw the spin rate on Rickey Henderson’s wheels. 3000 RPM.
