Gary Thorne never understood the save rule either, it seemed.
Sulser still can get a save - even if we score 20 this inning.

 

 

I think Scott understands the rule, he just meant if you were going to bring in another pitcher it would not be a save situation and that could affect what pitcher Hyde went to in the 9th if he choose to lift Sulser.

So in 15 years of Nats baseball, the Orioles have now won the season series 8 times, we've split 5 times, and they won it just twice (2007, 2018).
