They wouldn't hurt. I remember when I heard about Pop's lack of velocity in 2019 spring training and then at Bowie despite the good numbers, the velo was down. Then of course, boom, pop went the elbow.

Right.   I was prepared to hear he was throwing long toss or on flat ground as part of a progression that would get him on a mound in a couple of weeks.   To hear he’s on a mound throwing to live batters is very good news.

I thought most people would just assume reading or watching almost anything about the current incarnation of the Orioles is NSFW.

Hope Baumann stays healthy and pitches at OPACY at some point this season.

What do you want him to say? He's 25 y/o trying to make a MLB roster for the first time in his career.  A significant arm injury doesn't bode well for his future, seeing he'd be 27 after a full lost year due to rehab.

Even this reads "hey, we see some damage.  Don't use your arm for a couple months and we'll see how it goes."  That bodes far better for a guy trying to make it to the big leagues, than having precautionary surgery for his partially torn UCL, when he was starting to make a bit of a name for himself.

Spoken like a true Orioles fan! In my mind, any good young pitcher we have is 100% slated for TJS unless, miraculously, it never happens.
