I like Zimmerman's personality, but enough's enough.  You don't walk a .218 hitter in front of the heart of their lineup.  And then he gets behind Alonzo, and boom.  He knows that's not acceptable,  but he did it.

In Zimmerman's defense - those first two pitches to Alonzo could very easily have been called strikes.  He gets one of those two calls, it changes the at-bat and he doesn't have to groove one.  The ump really pinched Zim in that inning.
