That doesn't seem farfetched especially if Means is going to struggle the rest of the way.

The Hyde postgame today was entertaining. One of those you need to see. He wasn’t angry just matter of fact. 
 

Was asked about the back to back homers from the offense and was like yeah we came up 14 runs short. It was the way he said it. In a humorous way. Later on said they are a long ways away.

I don't see next year as a year in which they attempt to be competitive. 

So they won't be.

Then they replace Hyde and make a run for .450 in 2023.

I guess it depends on how you define competitive. I think they will do much more than what they did this year. To what extent? Not sure.

What does it matter?

The whole entreprise is determined by whether they want it or not.  Winning is that simple.  It's a choice you make.

I totally agree.  And the Orioles front office/ pretend owners have not decided whether they want to or not. Or really found out whether they can make money and win with a cheap team.

I think they should do this at the end of the season, like an inverted playoff to determine who gets the 1st round pick.
