I think your issues are accurate.  I just think 2 more months in AAA isn’t going to change them.

He'll be up though once they can get that 7th year.

I don’t know how quickly he’ll be up, since he’s never pitched in AAA.  My prediction is he will make at least 8 AAA starts before any call-up.   How many more than that depends on how he’s looking.

Perhaps, it just depends on how good he's pitching. If he's dominating and they have him for his his "7th" year then I think we see him up shortly there after. But Elias did keep Mountcastle down a few weeks longer, perhaps for optics.

Not that 2.1 scoreless IP aren’t good, but Baumann was the last pitcher used, facing mostly minor leaguers.
