2023 Schedule

Looking at the Orioles schedule in April, they have a chance to win a lot of games right out of the gate.   Here's hoping they come out of Spring Training ready to play, because there are wins to be had early.

I’ll be there on April 3rd in Dallas to hopefully catch one of those early wins of which you speak. Look for my father, brother and I right behind the O’s dugout.

Right after the All Star break is the toughest stretch. After the Marlins, play the Mets,Yankees, Padres, Dodgers,Blue Jays,Phillies,Astros and Rays.

This division is really rather stacked. The Yankees almost won 100 games last year and look to be about the same personnel as last year. The BJ's won 92 last year and look like a better team with several of their off season moves. The Rays are just a very good franchise that was hit pretty hard by injuries last year. They are healthy this year, mostly, and will be tough to beat. It's gonna be a battle all year for playoff spots.

This is the year that we start a more balanced schedule and play less division games correct? Anyone know the difference?

Yes.  Last year we played the AL East teams 19 times each.   Looking at the schedule this year we play each team 13 times.

76 total last year and 52 total this year. We're taking the distribution from nearly half our games in division to just shy of a third.  I'll take it!

The schedule is now

• Four series against each AL East team. Used to be six.
• Two series against each other AL team. Same as before. 
• One series against each NL team, except for two 2-game series against the Nationals. Up from playing only one NL Division + Nationals each year.
