With deGrom a K-king, I doubt that that was their plan. Only thing cd have been element of surprise or something they picked up about the catcher. Dumb move in any case w Mountcastle up next.

Sometimes the role of the last man in the pen is to only pitch in blowouts and if he goes a week between appearances then so be it.

We had a rested bullpen and a day off tomorrow, should have been all hands on deck to win this game.

Just not a lot of options that make you feel good out in that pen outside of Bautista and Perez.
