I saw the Royals thing which is crazy considering they only have one regular player above .250. Witt at .269.

Hard to believe that without the pitcher having another "free" disengagement available, Mateo, of all people, wasn't able to get a good enough jump.

I'm really not worried about the outcome of this game.  It's kinda like back in what, 2014?  When we were playing Detroit in the playoffs?  Their bullpen was just good hittin.

By this logic, Mateo will almost never get to run unless he starts hitting well enough that they move him up in the lineup. Despite the chances of Mateo succeeding being overwhelmingly high.
