How much longer can we endure Mountcastle's and Mateo's OBP?

This isn't true.  The ability to take on payroll can be leveraged during the season. The Braves received a prospect discount on Gausman by taking on the O'Day contract being one example.

The lawyer to the rescue again with the semantics win...lol

First off we have a policy against calling other posters names.

Secondly that isn't a little thing.  The ability to take on payroll is a valuable asset.  For instance when the Orioles bundled draft picks with bad contracts.

If me calling you an attorney in any way offended you, I sincerely apologize. I didn't join this board to cause offense, just to discuss the O's.

Aren't NY and BOS already in the tax payer threshold? How many bad contracts can they afford to take on? Especially BOS, their roster construction is already not too good as is.

I was speaking more of a team like the Orioles who should, theoretically, be able to maneuver in such a fashion.

I've now given multiple examples.

Oh wait. Are you proposing that the O's are the team that would be willing to take on the bad contract? I think I misunderstood what you were saying totally. It wouldn't be the first time...lol
