Double switch.

Cano coming in to pitch.   SInce Kjerstad moved to the field, the pitcher would have been in Hicks' spot.   But by taking out Kjerstad, moving O'Hearn to the outfield, and putting McCann in at 1B in place of Perez, Cano can be in Kjerstad's spot.   So the pitcher is 9 spots away instead of 7.

Honestly I'm not sure it's worth the defensive hit to do that.  Probably wouldn't come into play until the 11th inning.

My thoughts exactly. Although I guess he more commonly plays right in the minors. Just curious that they didn’t put him out there to start. Left looks more difficult to play than right. Then again they had 2 lefties coming up tk start this inning. Maybe that’s why he moved Hays over.
