Who are the 2023 Orioles #15 and #16 prospects?

The last prospect power ranking had it:

9. Willems

14. Wagner

15. Johnson 

16. Fabian

19. Baumeister

23. Bright

28. Liranzo

It’s interesting to me that Liranzo was listed in yesterday’s 13/14 poll, and now twice today in the 15/16 poll.  I still don’t think he’ll be the choice here, but something tells me that one of Tony’s sources is high on this kid and he’s going to show up well before we get to 28.   

I’m going to guess Baumeister and Johnson here, but I’m not real confident in my choice.

Baumeister hasn’t pitched for us yet.  And his NCAA stats weren’t lights out.  So it would have to be pitch profile and video.

Bright and Johnson have been solid.

Fabian and Wagner have been good is spurts but have some gaps to fill.

Liranzo is a bit of a wild card.  Played this year as a 16 yo 3B, 6’3” 180 means he can fill in more muscle.  Almost .800 OPS as a 16 yo. Solid K/BB ratio.  

I’ll take Bright and Liranzo.  It gets tough here though.

The fact that we are talking about Fabian this low shows how far this system has come.  Fabian based on a bunch of wishcasting would have been top 10 many years.

Perhaps his .192/,267/.319/.586 line in 311 PA at Aberdeen.  Not giving up on him, but hard to rank him highly.

Honestly by the end of the year, I'm not doing much changes besides adding the drafted players onto the list.

Honestly, I’m glad the year end top 30 doesn’t follow the power rankings that closely.   It would be boring if it were just the same list!
