 Bio: This is the first time we've put a Dominican Summer League pitcher in the top 30, but at this point, might as well take a shot at some upside. This 6-foot-2 Venezuelan was the best pitching prospects in the organization in the DSL, putting up very good numbers as a 17-year old. His fastball sat in the low 90s, but he reportedly has a good clean delivery and a quick arm that suggests that when he fills out he should add some velocity. He already shows a feel for a good curveball and change with the curve behind ahead of the change at this point. He dominated left-handers with the curveball.

Morao held batters to just a .218/.335/.299/.635 including just six extra base hits. While his walk rate was a little high (4.8/9), his K rate (11.9/9) was the best among Orioles pitcher in the DSL. He'll start 2024 in the FCL and should be a pitcher to keep an eye on closely.
