Texas has two rental arms with alot of postseason experience as well. Leclerc and Robertson. Leclerc was nails last postseason and pitched a ton. Especially in the fire stopper role.
@Sports Guy for shiggles, I stopped by to read what our old friends on the White Sox board were saying about what they would want for Crochet.
Jackson Merrill, but it’s a shame that SD started his clock already. Also, they now feel like they got ripped for Cease and that the trade was essentially just for the pitcher they got. If not Merrill, then they would want Ethan Salas from SD.

Harper and Machado were both top 5 picks, no team could have picked both of them.
If the Phillies had picked Realmuto you might be on to something but that was the Marlins.
If you literally wrote down a wish list of things you’d want to see a player accomplish in AAA before they’d be called up, then Coby Mayo’s 2024 would be your list.
It’s just a matter of how do we fit him in before rosters expand to 28 in September.
Maybe breaking their schedule because the AAA All Star break is coming up?
Also, heckuva start for McDermott. As @frobby just pointed out, he’s been in AAA for almost a year now. I think we’ve seen how much that full year in AAA can mean.
His likely MLB debut could be 7/29 in one of the doubleheader games versus Toronto. With the All Star breaks coming up, I’d imagine we’d adjust him over his next 3 starts to line him up for 7/29.
