I don't know how diligent Jim Callis and Jonathan Mayo doing MLB.com are about in season updates, but spot checking their list last night vs. Tony's, the biggest thing jumping out at me is MLB (Callis/J. Mayo) do not yet have Michael Forret at all in the Orioles top 30.      This is obviously wrong.

Something to keep in mind when trades start happening, and the elementary boilerplate story is such and such team gave "MLB's #8, #14 and #22" prospects for so and so.

The same happened with Luis DeLeon last year.

MLB pipeline has RHP Patrick Reilly ranked #15. 108K in 88 IP in A+. Not too shabby.

Baumeister, Etzel, Horvath, Norby, Stowers, Cook, Moises Chace, Johnson, and Mcgough all gone.

Yes, i was waiting for the deadline to finish before putting out the new list. I'll get it out tonight.

Hey Tony...some of those names are already removed. I'm not sure if you have a record, but I'd be interested to see where they all sat before they were traded if that's possible.

I was trying to remember to quote each week, but sometimes I forget. You can at least go back through this thread and see where they were. Norby was the best prospects traded in my opinion and Stowers, if eligible was the second best.

These "power rankings" are a fun way to track prospects throughout the year. They are not "official" prospect rankings that are completed at the end of the year after a full evaluations. To be eligible for the list, a player must play at least one game on an active roster. (Updated as of Jul 29th)

All in all Creed Willems being your number 28 prospect in the system shows the Orioles still have a healthy system.

Eh, maybe? I'm not a big Willems guy. His hit tool is highly questionable and he's taken some steps back defensively this year. His body will only get worse as he ages. He does have some power and he's still young, has a great work ethic, and the right mindset to be the best he can be, but he's got a long way to go. Could he be one of those guys where the light bulb just goes off later in his career similar to Jonah Heim? Perhaps, but he has more of a power tool vs hit tool that Heim had when he was overmatched early on his career.

I don’t disagree just more of a glass half full on him. Also a glass half empty on catchers around the league. Phillies play Garrett Stubbs, Yankees Carlos Narváez, we play McCann. Obviously there is defensive development with Willems. Heck Adley was a Junior in college at his age with defensive development needs. The Orioles are on the right path with him by taking it slow. I think he has backup or swing catcher upside which is not bad for 28th prospect. We probably don’t see him for 3 more years if ever.
