If We Lose Tomorrow, Does It End The Sweepless Streak?

I wouldn't think so because the rained out game has to be made up. But some people are saying that the streak is on the line tomorrow.

The streak ended for me when they got swept in the playoffs. No idea what the official ruling would be on a 3 game series with a rain out. But it truly doesn’t matter

It counts because it would go down as a 2 game series. The July series where tonight’s games is being made up will be a 4 game series.

They’ve been counting 2 game series as part of it, so I’d say yes.

In theory the team could go 4 series in a row where they win 1 out of 3 games. On the flipside the team could win 8 out of 12 games, but have a three game sweep mixed in this stretch. Which team is actually doing better the one that hasn’t been swept or the other playing .666 winning percentage ball. 

The streak is a good indicator, but I’ll take a deep playoff run with a few three game losing streaks mixed in over the course of a season.

I think a combination of announcers overusing the narrative, and the playoff sweep leaving a sour taste. I still like the streak though.

I would say no. 

The last game in this series will be played in July.   Just because it was postponed, doesn't mean it's not still a game in this series.

I can't wait for Kevin Brown to announce twice a week for the foreseeable future, "And the Orioles have extended their regular season streak of not being swept in OVER 2 YEARS in series that don't include a rainout!!!"

We got swept in the playoffs, when it mattered most. I wish people would let this go.

FWIW: Speaking of least favorite teams... the Brewers have moved from "who cares?" into "I'm watching you" status. But it's still not at all close. Jays in a landslide.
