Remaining strength of schedule .490 in O's favor

Orioles have the 4th easiest remaining schedule according to tankathon.com. That has got to be an advantage with half the season remaining. June was rough, but it gets easier from here on out.

It's worth noting, though, that while the opponents the rest of the way do get a bit easier, and the days off definitely get a lot more frequent than they have been, the rest of the schedule is quite road heavy.   After Sunday, we will have 35 home games and 43 road games remaining.

That's a good find.  Thanks for posting that.   Baseball especially is one of those sports where the later in the year that it gets, the worse teams tend to play worse and worse and the better teams better and better.   So this could be a big help.

Yes, but the O’s are 24-14 (.632) on the road this year and were 52-29 (.642) on the road last year.   The road doesn’t seem to bother our boys.

The Yankees have 30 games remaining in the AL East, where they are 10-12 so far.

They've had pretty even Home/Away splits, though.

Another counter argument is that except for this recent 5 game losing streak, they also have a tendency to play down to their competition.. so I am not taking anything for granted.
