Luzardo is a long term move for me but he should also be pitching by the end of August and he will be a fresh arm with big upside if he’s ready to go. He would not be my only SP acquisition.
I think Mayo comes up on 9/1 when rosters expand from 26 to 28. His floor with the MLB team will be DH vs LHP in the playoffs, with a chance to beat out O’Hearn/Mountcastle for ABs at DH full time as his ceiling.
I don’t think we see him much in the field this season.
That also leaves him in line to be AL ROY eligible in 2025.
His numbers at DH could be down if he was DH’ing early in the season when he was getting over that injury. Could just be a coincidence too, since he had a bad first month or so.
Thanks for updating as always. Really like this feature throughout the year.
Josenberger making a move. Wow, our bats having a down year. EBJ, Wagner, Fabian, Horvath, and Beavers, are all in the .700 OPS club instead of .800.
Would Elias even want Tanner Scott? Remember, he was the one that traded him away.
A couple of things to keep in mind… Stowers is essentially our de facto #4 prospect behind the big 3 if he had about 40 less PA in the MLB. The Marlins would likely want younger players in the tier of EBJ, Fabian, Wagner, Beavers, Horvath, etc…
