Predict Jordan Westburg’s Statistical Peak Number

1. What age range do you think he will his his 3 year peak

2.  What WAR, Average, OBP, OPS, counting stats if you like, do you think he will average over that 3 year peak.

3. Can you qualitatively or quantitatively speak to the value of his defense at that time.

I have a feeling that Westburg is what he’s going to be, and won’t improve a ton from here offensively.  I think the one area that he can and will improve is his walk rate.  I’ll say at his three-year peak he’s an .830-.850 OPS guy.  I think he’s a solid defender now but will get better once the team puts him at one spot permanently.  I’ll say his three-year WAR peak is 13-14 and he’ll reach that early, maybe starting next year.  

He’s already as good or better than I thought he’d be at peak, and I was pretty bullish on Westburg compared to a lot of people.

I will add that with his 29.1 sprint speed I am surprised that Westy has not performed better in terms of BSR (only at 0.3 this season).

I can’t really predict his statistical peak, not very good at that stuff. But Westburg is a key player for us. And he’s really good. I can’t help but see a little Bobby Grich in this guy, and that’s a very good thing too.

I'm continually impressed with how hard he hits the ball and his plate coverage.  His HR last night looked like a pitch that should have jammed him, but it went 420 feet.  He didn't show much power last year but man he has some pop.  

More importantly, I love his demeanor, just razor focused on making winning plays.

His defense is much better at 3B and he should stick there.  I think he will hit 30-35 HR and slash .270/.330/.540 at his peak, and that he will play at an all-star level for the next 4-5 seasons.
