Well, I only said that b/c Baez is up in the 'pen.

Albers has managed to almost work out of this so far. I'd feel much more encouraged if he gets this third out. I think it'd be good for Albers' confidence, too.

If he can't get Gardner, pull him.

Why did they take out Koji?

Pie looks like he is just going through the motions. Not impressed...

Koji has only pitched 6 innings at most. They are probably still stretching him out and it's a cool night. Gotta protect that hammy...

He had 86 pitches. While not all that many, he hadn't gone beyond four innings in the spring. It's chilly out. With a 6 run lead, it was time to turn it over to the 8 man bullpen. Uehara's health will be very important to the O's success this year.

The best part of that inning was that Albers had a guy on third with no outs, and the guy didn't score.

Those situations almost always turn into at least one run. It always really impresses me when a pitcher can cut off that run in those situations.

Dunno for sure, but I'm guessing 80-some pitches, 1st start after not much ST due to hamstring, enough is enough.

I'm sure DT wants 6 IP+ out of everybody he can get it from...
