    • The pressure now turns to Means. With the way Irvin is pitching there is absolutely no way that you can remove him from the rotation right now. He has earned his place for a while. I think this kind of “competition” actually can bring out the best in everyone because guys know they have to bring their best if they want to stay starting. Plus you need depth due to the high likelihood of injuries. Can never have too much starting pitching.
    • Hard pass. Is the desire for Scott (I’ve also heard some taking about Hunter Harvey) because of the former Oriole thing? If we have to give up any real talent, I hope that we are trading for guys who are real difference makers (first and foremost), not for  reasons of sentimentality. Povich is one of our only SP in the Minors who has true Major League capabilities, can’t afford to give that away for the likes of Tanner Scott.
    • Oakland started off 10-45 last year (!). Wonder if the White Sox can match that.
    • Remember those two left-handed Borus clients that finally got big one year contracts after asking for much more? Let's see who has the best year. Rooting for Irwin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • He has to be the surprise of the season. His issues were always location to me. He was throwing to the middle of the strike zone vertically too much. Hyde made a point to say he was throwing his change up to the knees.
