Gregg has looked poor this year...Koji hasn't.

If you were willing to bring in Koji in the 8th if another runner reached, with the game on the line and runners on, then you should be willing to bring him in for the 9th inning with no one on.

He is just a flat out better pitcher than Gregg and its not really all that close.

You nailed it.

No, he didn't suck. He threw almost all really good pitches in his outing. That isn't sucking. He got out of man on second no outs bottom of the ninth against the Yanks in Yankee stadium and didn't get lucky to do it. That isn't sucking.

I personally don't think there is a lot of blame in this game, but what blame there is should go to Gonzalez, Berken, and just a little to Gregg in that order IMHO.

I just don't get this. He gave up a run. That's a bad appearance for any reliever. And it was a home run. That's his fault. It wasn't some cheap random run. When a pitcher gives up a home run, it's because he got beat. Gregg got beat.

This is baloney. Our best did not get beat by their best, our best was sitting on the bench in this game. Pie catches at least one of those two 6 inning balls Like cant get to, probabaly both, and Koji closes out the 9th regardless. This ones on Buck.
