Comments in Roch's blog were very negative toward this lineup. I kind of like seeing Reimold and Fox against a lefty. I think we score some runs.

Would rather have seen Adams leading off and playing 2B than Andino.

    • Some years they are bad, other years they aren’t.  It’s been rough early on although the refs have definitely screwed them too.
    • Rain won’t help either.    At this point just hoping for a 4-2 week and see what happens. Not saying that’s going to happen….   Would be nice to have home field in WC round. I’m guessing a bunch of 3pm games.
    • I'm still new to watching Ravens and I don't watch the other teams' games, but it seems the Ravens draw way more penalties than the opposition, game in and game out. Is that true? If so, it's another indictment of "pained expression" Harbaugh.
    • Why can’t it be that the players are just failing?  Were the coaches failing through June?  Last year?
    • Seattle up to within 2.5 of Minnesota for a wildcard as they get ready to welcome the Yankees Tues/Wed/Thurs.     We'll see if any advantage can be taken in Series 1 with HFA and a playoff vs. non-playoff on paper opponent edge. The club has done about all it can to make its home fans morose in what potentially could have been a pumped up week.    Hopefully fans still show up in force and maybe give the guys a little jolt.
    • Yeah. Won't those people who criticized Elias for drafting all those pitchers and passing on athletic shortstops and sluggers feel silly then? Oh, wait .  .  .
    • True, if you're talking about guys without batting talent. But there are numerous guys on the Orioles who have proven ability to hit in the ML or are believed to have a high level of ability to do that, and almost all of them are performing poorly. Isn't the job of coaches to help those guys to maximize and utilize their talent? I don't know what the hitting coaches are doing, but it's not working. I'm not saying the hitting coaches are incompetent. I can't judge that. But it appears that they have been ineffective in helping this group of hitters with their current problems. That suggests to me that there is a shortcoming in either the coaches' advice or their communication of that advice to the players.
