I really hope we can get some value for reynolds before the season starts as much as I love his homerun numbers his defense is horendous

Norfolk is going to start the year with a pretty good pitching staff Matuz, Tillman, Bergy, Berken and I imagaine Eveland.

Tillman wasn't very good at norfolk last year. Eveland has been a bad pitcher in AAA the last 3 years. Bergy is the worst. I think you are over estimating the talent of our pitchers.

Let's see how the remainder of the game plays out before writing off Matusz. He settled down and had a good second inning even with being hurt by another error by Reynolds. If he can make it through five and keep the Tigers where they are, then this outing will have done nothing to hrt his chances of making the team.

You have to like that he was able to K Boesch and Jackson the second time through the order.

I think his reward for being an awful pitcher was humiliating himself last season. Starting Wada over him would be punishing his teammates and the fanbase.

3 K's, a bunch of GB's, hardly batting practice. Unless you can see how he is throwing, you can't say anything based on gamaday reports.
