I think his reward for being an awful pitcher was humiliating himself last season. Starting Wada over him would be punishing his teammates and the fanbase.

How would it be punishing the fanbase? Having reynolds at third is doing that. But Matusz in the minors is where he belongs. He needs to put up a good season down there and if he does he can come back up.

I think I don't want to watch Wada get roughed up for two months while Matusz spins his wheels in Norfolk as his reward for working his but off in the offseason.

After the year Matusz had last year I don't care how good he pitches in camp he needs to go to norfolk for @ least a month and earn his way back into our rotation

One of the most promising pitchers in our organization had a rough year, the worst on record yes. He's worked his tail off and for the most part we have seen marked improvement this spring. IDK who it was posted that sending him down is like punishing him for last year. That's sounds like what you want here. Wada is not ready either IMO, and Matusz is our future. If not we better find out in a hurry. Sending him down after the work he's put in is the wrong message.

I really hope we can get some value for reynolds before the season starts as much as I love his homerun numbers his defense is horendous

They tryed to trade him but no one wants his salary and the homers are not worth what you get.

Reynolds was not good defensively at first last year.

Seriously folks he made a couple nice digs. He was a butcher on both sides of the diamond last year and there is no reason to think he will be less damaging at first then third this season.

I like how two weeks ago we had about 10 guys buying for the number 5 spot in the rotation. Now we have 2 guys, Matusz and Wada. And if that's the case I am going with Matusz. Wada just seems like a left Koji. And Koji was no good in the rotation.

If they can't trade Reynoilds maybe we can work a trade for a solid glove @ 3rd and put Reynolds @Dh. or back at first I thought he played a great 1stbase for us last yr
