Bill James Projections...would you be happy?

He famously had a job as a night watchman, and on his off time he started doing basic research in the 70s, putting out his annual Abstract on a mimeograph machine, selling copies with ads in the back of the Sporting News.

There was a funny story about this in Moneyball - the first year James self-published the Abstract, he only sold a handful of copies, but one of them was bought by the actor who played Squiggy on Laverne and Shirley.

I think I'd be disappointed in Nicky's power numbers, Matusz's ERA, Britton's lack of innings, and very please with 30-plus homers again from CD.
