weams
Lol settle down bud. Get off the board if you can't handle someones opinion... I don't think it is for you to tell anyone to get off the board.
Ori-Al
Not a guy who walks. And not everyone worships walks. The best hitters hit for average, power, and post quality on-base percentages. Jones is even a great average hitter-he may finish around 300 this season, which is very good, but not great. He may get to 30 homers, which is again very good, not great. Note that I'm not saying anything to the effect of he has to go or anything like that, because he can certainly be a key contributor to a winning team, but his swing at everything approach can also hurt at key times. LA2
"At 41 years old, he appears to have gotten better as the season wears on." I meant both that and the fact that he's using the cutter so effectively. He had Manny totally flustered with that series of cutters--first time I've seen our guy look that angry in the dugout. Jonesy10
He's one of the fifteen best at what he does. And what he doesn't do is walk. He's not a top 15 hitter like you said he was. He's a top 50 hitter.

I just think it is funny that he gets the Big Papi pass and gets talked about as a HOF'er.
weams
He's not a top 15 hitter like you said he was. He's a top 50 hitter. We disagree. I'll take him top 15 over the last three years.
MDK02
I don't think it is for you to tell anyone to get off the board. Someone calling me a idiot for simply stating my opinion is uncalled for. Especially when the majority of the time I say nothing negative about the team but if even I want to express my anger with the team, I think I'm allowed that... or maybe that's only certain members. tntoriole
Wieters bat speed is really poor. To be that far behind a 41 year old fastball.

Ok. This is a very reasoned response. Thanks.

No one called you a name. And don't go telling moderation what they can and can't do. Thanks. I don't think anyone was directing anything at you specifically. And if they were, my apologies.
