luismatos4prez
All good choices. Trout is the best player in baseball, but Cabrera is a better hitter, which is what the MVP award is really about.

CA-ORIOLE
Trout is the best player in baseball, but Cabrera is a better hitter, which is what the MVP award is really about. I thought it was about value to his team and winning/playoffs, etc..
Austin
Trout is the best player in baseball, but Cabrera is a better hitter, which is what the MVP award is really about. Then how come Justin Verlander won it two years ago? I think Trout deserved to win. He was a better all around player than Cabrera this year. luismatos4prez
Isn't it odd that baseball doesn't have an award for best player? It'd be nice if they created one. They could call it the "Best Hitter Award" :laughlol: I thought it was about value to his team and winning/playoffs, etc.. It's about whatever the individual writers decide it's about. "The best hitter that plays on a great team" is another possible definition. Then how come Justin Verlander won it two years ago? I think Trout deserved to win. He was a better all around player than Cabrera this year. Who knows? Was that the same year that Ellsbury's insane 30/30 season didn't get him MVP? scOtt
Scherzer scares me in the future. At least he's not in-division.
