Although I think Buck should definitely try to reduce his load. He has been in the league four years and ranked 2nd, 2nd, 1st, and 1st in innings caught per year. I would definitely try to reduce his load to see if that helps his offense.

Oops, I meant defensive games as catcher, not innings caught. I didn't look up his innings total but assume it mirrors games caught.

So the fact that he's smack in the middle of his prime and OPS'd .704 doesn't concern you at all?

Wieters ran into a large number of shifts last year and he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy to change his swing around to start hitting the ball the other way. Most likely we see more of the same.

Guys have bad years in their primes. It happens.

He is closer to a .750 guy than he is to a .700 guy. Look at previous 2 years in 2011 and 2012, after a few years in majors getting his feet wet.
