Ubaldo Jimenez is Consistent

This thread is trash. The op has had it out for ubaldo, and thinks Nate mclouth, Scott Feldman and Jason Hammel are difference makers. Every time he's had a chance, he's championed those guys. He sits and waits for his chance to tell us how we should have kept mclouth, or hammel. Troll. The os finally took a risk and signed a pitcher to a semi big deal. He hasn't looked great yet, but 3 starts doesn't make a season so let's just hold off for a little while.

Hasn't looked great?????? He's looked HORRIBLE. Open your eyes man. His putrid pitching has NOTHING to do with Feldman, McCouth, or Hammel. But I will say one thing, none of them have been overpaid to stink up the field like this guy has.. I have every right to complain about this guy. He STINKS!

Nate got paid 7 million in 2011 to play at replacement level for 81 games with the Braves, after getting paid 5 million in 2010 to play well below replacement level.

I would say he qualifies as being grossly overpaid to under perform.

Game one he was ok. I agree he hasn't looked good , but it's early in the season. You have been on record stating how you think those guys....and b rob will be missed. I don't think they will be, and I bet ubaldo ends up being a very valuable piece of our team.

Yeah, goodness gracious. If only we'd signed Aaron Harang. 0.71 ERA in a robust 12.2 innings pitched in 2014. He's a beast!

Granted, he's going to have to compete with the 11 other pitchers who currently boast ERAs under 1.00, but I think Harang's a lock for the Cy Young.

Gotta love April.

Three starts man! He isn't terrible. He has pitched terrible so far. FOR THREE STARTS.

Relax. You'll live longer.

Not by the Orioles. I don't care what other teams overpay players. I hope they do.

I was just pointing out that your earlier statement was factually incorrect. Now that you decided to move the goalposts I will mention that I'm inclined to think that Hammel didn't exactly earn his 6.75 million last season.

If he doesn't get it together, no way I waste my money on a ticket when he is the starter of a game.

I'm just saying, he needs a couple months for us to even make any conclusions. He was one of THE best pitchers in the majors end of last year.
