Andrew The Great. I wish we could have kept him, but it's understandable the O's don't want to give him a ridiculous contract. I will always have fond memories of his time here, especially in the playoffs. Hey, maybe we'll be able to swing a trade for him in a couple years, you never know.

A perfect storm in Miller's favor. I'm glad the O's aren't one of the teams chasing him. 4/40? 5/50?

He will be seriously overpaid.

I did not. But with the way the game is played now a days, where the bullpen, on good days, pitches 3 or 4 innings a game, a case could be made that good bullpens are nearly as valuable as SP. I say pay relievers accordingly. I realize with Hardy ,signed, Nick hopefully to be signed, and Cruz maybe to be signed, Miller was the odd man out. Really to bad.

Bullpens as a whole are valuable, but the best relievers will pitch 50 - 75 innings, while the best starters will pitch 180 - 225.

I will say that Andrew Miller is one of the most electric relief pitchers I've ever seen in Oriole employ. I can't recall being so confident in a pitcher before.
