Speaking of, I'm really curious what happened to Pearce.. I understand maybe a player could have a nice hot streak which belies his actual ability, but Pearce played at a high high level for nearly a year. Felt like he turned a corner.. where did that player go?

I have to think injury. He started the year with 2 HR in the first week, then plummeted. He said something about "feeling lost" when he was first benched. Fortunately Jimmy has made Pearce more or less a moot issue for now.

Wow Tommy's FB is looking sharp. 97 with downard bite.
Excellent sequence by Tommy for the K. Best I have seen him look this year.
He is looking brilliant.

Tommy "Throwin' Strikes" Hunter essentially had to get 4 outs that inning.

And as usual, he threw strikes and made the Yankees earn whatever they got.
