Friday: Mike Wright (2-2, 4.13 ERA) vs. Marco Estrada (4-3, 4.24 ERA)

Saturday: Kevin Gausman (1-0, 4.50 ERA) vs. Mark Buehrle (7-4, 4.01 ERA)

Sunday: Chris Tillman (5-7, 5.58 ERA) vs. Scott Copeland (1-1, 2.57 ERA)

Estrada began the year in the bullpen and entered the rotation in May. We faced him on May 11 and he allowed 3 runs in 5 IP, taking the loss. In his last start against Boston, he got hit hard allowing 5 runs in 5 IP, but got the win as the Toronto offense pummeled the Sox 13-5.

Buehrle has faced us three times already this year, and is 3-0, going 6 innings each time and allowing 2, 3 and 2 runs. I always expect him to be tough against us.

Copeland, who was our 21st round draft pick in 2010 and was released in mid-2012, is a 27-year old rookie with two starts under his belt. In his first start he went 7 innings and allowed 1 run to the Marlins, while in the second one he lasted 4 innings, allowing 4 runs against the Mets and taking the loss.

I think it's on our pitchers to hold down the red-hot Toronto offense. We should be able to score some runs in Games 1 and 3. Buehrle will be tough, as always, so hopefully Gausman returns with a vengeance.

The bats looked a bit lathargeic today. But for whatever reason, the Orioles always seem to struggle in day games. Hope the Orioles bats aren't suddenly going silent again right before we start the series with the Blue Jays. Unfortunately, I have a feeling the next three games aren't going to be pretty.

We need to go all out and try and win game 1. With a rested pen and the ability to option Wright after the game, Buck might want to start thinking about matching up in the 6th inning. I would not mind seeing Givens getting a call up for this series. Just because he throws hard and they've never seen him before. Obviously we'd have to do a 40 man move.

My theory is they are a bunch of late night partiers and they can't sober up in time for a day game. Or they are vampires.

The O's actually have a better record/ more runs per game during day games. I'd link stats but I'm on my phone. Well that was the case before they were .500, I don't know about now

The lineup was not exactly filled with stars .Three outfielders, two who might be in the minors or other teams soon.Flaherty and Joseph who are backups and the pitcher hitting. I know Parmalee has hit for two games. He will soon come back to reality.

I'm absolutely NOT trying to be negative, but to think the Jays would be held in check by our rotation this weekend might be a little too optimistic. I could be wrong though. I certainly hope I am.

Funniest thing I've read in a long, long time. "Not trying to be negative." Priceless.
