Tough three days for Manny -- I hope he's not heading into a slump

While this might be the case (no real way of knowing one way or the other right now), it's just way too small a sample size to make a declaration like this. He's more of a 3 hitter than a lead off.

Pretty sure Corn was throwing out some sarcasm there.

Manny is 0 for 13 the last three days. Yesterday, the Braves twice walked Davis intentionally to get to Manny, and he struck out both times. His timing really looked off on all of his at bats last night. I hope this isn't the start of a significant slump. He had one from May 13 to June 5 -- .621 OPS over 23 games. He actually hadn't been hitless two games in a row since May 29-30 until the last three days.

I hope he works himself out of it soon.

Machado back in the lead off spot, hope that helps:

Wait, what about that that thread we had a few weeks ago, when the consensus was, it didn't matter where you hit in the batting order? :)

While I seldom agree with you on anything here, I must say without hesitation - GOOD POINT! These stats people have to say it's just a coincidence or they will REALLY look like they don't know what the heck they are talking about!!?

Can someone much more enlightened than me explain why Parmalee is still around when he can't even supplant Ryan Flaherty who is a good backup utility man but certainly not a starting first baseman on any good major league team. What point does Parmalee serve? Backup to a backup first baseman?

He'll be gone soon enough. Pearce gets off the DL in about a week.

Nope. No one can explain it. A lot of us have been wondering the same thing.
