The only thing more annoying than our stop at 3 runs offense is.....

JR Oriole

Carlos Beltran. Every single game, this guy is coming up with a huge hit or RBI in a big spot. Just as Tex and ARod slow down, Beltran decides that he will be the AARP rep on the Yankees that nobody can get out when it counts.

As the O's try and figure out a winning formula again in the offseason, it will inevitably have a strong youth component to it. To accentuate that, maybe we need to also consider signing a couple of aged, historically clutch guys like Beltran who frustrate the opposition by simply refusing to get old.

Would Biggio have to turn in his HOF credentials? :scratchchinhmm:

I think most Oriole fans would be complaining everyday about paying $15 million last year for Beltran's .233/.301/.402/.703 performance in 109 games. And he wasn't much better for most of this season as well.

Vladimir Guerrero was by far the best star-in-decline we've signed in recent years (compare Atkins, Lee, Thome). But even his .290/.317/.416/.733 in 145 games for $7.6 million in 2011 didn't please. Fans constantly griped about Buck keeping him in the lineup, especially in the MOO.
