If he's getting 2900 rpm on the slider, that's near elite level spin rate. How is his control? The walks seem a little high, but the WHIP is low so he's not giving up a lot of hits
The time isn't coming, the time is here. As sportsfan mentioned, this is a good team whether fans want to admit it or not. But 30 of mostly terrible baseball does a number to a fan base.
I think the human eye hasn't evolved enough in the past several decades to accurately judge the movement on pitches thrown at high velocity these days. Spin rates and velocity are through the roof.
Are umpires worse than they always have been or does every broadcast now having a box that we can use to judge every call off of just skewing it in our minds?
