Good interview. Duquette really made it seem, in the strongest terms I've heard yet, that Chris Davis needs to decide soon whether he wants to be with the Orioles, or the team will move on. He also said, when asked about a long term deal for Manny Machado, that the team came close to a deal with him a couple of years ago -- I heard that in the last few days, but not directly from Duquette. It certainly sounded like they'll try again this winter, though Dan did not say that directly. The interviewers also asked him how he felt watching Jake Arrieta have a Cy Young season, which I thought was a gutsy question to ask. Dan gave his expected answer about how Jake had not done well in several chances with us and they needed to get a pitcher because they were trying to compete for the division title. Overall, the interviewers asked a lot of good questions, though they didn't push too hard when Dan skated on a couple of answers.
