Roll Tide
The Orioles resigned Bobby Bundy also.
oriolediehard
Why didn't we DF'A Xavier Avery instead of Tim Berry and Olmos? I wouldn't mind DF'A Nolan Reimold!! The most overrated Oriole in history.

mrpennybags
No bonds or Aaron seems a bit odd. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Yeah, the team has plenty of starters, so I think you could sub in Aaron for Alexander and then make Mike Schmidt the team's 3B and put in Bonds for Brett. Loving these lists by the way.
25 Nuggets
Yeah, the team has plenty of starters, so I think you could sub in Aaron for Alexander and then make Mike Schmidt the team's 3B and put in Bonds for Brett. Loving these lists by the way. I left Bonds off for the same reason I chose Steve Carlton over Roger Clemens. Splitting hairs I guess. Bonds, Schmidt and Hubbell instead of Brett, Seaver and Henderson works. Aaron is a notable omission. You can go with him & Carl Hubbell instead of Grover Cleveland Alexander and The Rickey. OF is crowded and I'm not touching Mel Ott or Monte Irvin. Babe Ruth himself is pushed to DH. One change I thought about is including the Negro League great Josh Gibson at catcher instead of Lefty Grove, with Dennis Eckersley taking "E". I like Buck Ewing's versatility though for backup catcher. Two surprisingly shallow pools are "D" and "T". DiMaggio wins the CF job over the likes of Mays and Cobb due to scarcity. Frank Thomas is arguably the best "T" out there even though I wouldn't want him at 1B.

25 Nuggets
Does Xavier Avery make the All "X" Team? Players with an "x" anywhere in their name? C - Alex Avila, Alex Trevino 1B - Jimmie Foxx, Mark Teixeira 2B - Nellie Fox, Max Bishop 3B - Alex Rodriguez SS - Alexei Ramirez OF - Max Carey, Alex Gordon, Dixie Walker, Garry Maddox, Sixto Lezcano SP - Greg Maddux, Pete Alexander, Sandy Koufax, Felix Herndandez, Eppa Rixey RP - Tex Hughson, Max Scherzer, Max Lanier, Alex Fernandez, Harvey Haddix, Doyle Alexander, Joe Nuxhall ...so no, our pal Xavier is nowhere close. But he's not done playing yet!

Marv Throneberry's teammate on that 1962 Mets team. He hit 34 home runs with 94 RBI's that year, and was the best player on the team. A man by the name of ...... Frank Thomas. http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/t/thomafr03.shtml
