What was/is the O's plan

I think #3 is worthy of discussion now. "The Plan" evidently included the strategy to acquire Trumbo - which I think did imply that they were going to use their bigger money on an outfielder - and that Davis was not in their plans. This implies that their Plan was changed - likely by a higher power called Angelos. Imo, you cannot succeed when your front office is overruled by the owner. Your Plan gets thrown into the trash.

1) we don't have a good 3b prospect so keeping hardy at ss was the best plan defensively

2) if we offer trumbo a QO than we get a dh for one year and a 1st round pick for 10m. not bad.

3) Our farm system got us some rentals so it wasn't all bad, but now after 3 years of that we didn't cash in on fa's qo picks like we planned. Everyone wanted improvements, the end result just didn't happen.

still hope for bundy and harvey. Key is locking up manny before he gets closer to FA.

I don't know why you keep posting these tweets. Dan Duquette said he's not giving up the pick.

Maybe.

Maybe he's not giving up the pick for what Gallardo was asking. It'll still be too much, unless Duquette is a hypnotist.

That is the purpose of the quote, I assume. Trying to drive down the cost to the point that the loss of a pick is tolerable to the FO folks.

I dont think we need another SP who can barely get out of the 5th inning... Id say well maybe its because we would have lots of revolving parts in the bullpen, but those guys who have options are few and far in between.

I'd pick the Astros.

Be honest...you want to utilize the seven nation army cheer for a good ole fashioned "Yoooooooooooo Yo Yo Yo Yooooooo Yoooooooooo!!"

#Gallardo2016

No, I'd want to play for a good young team with a stacked farm system in a state that doesn't have an income tax.

I'm also not a fan of Thank God I'm a Country Boy.
