Buck publicly stated that the Orioles wanted to sign him to a minor league contract so what does "aggressive" mean in this sentence? They offered more money or he just felt he had a better opportunity with them?

Probably the latter. I don't think there's usually too much difference money-wise on the minor league deals, and Gonzo has made decent money the last few years. So I bet he thinks Chicago will get him back in the game more quickly.

In this case it could easily be a difference of a million. For a man that just lost 4 that might make a difference.

Former Orioles pitcher Miguel Gonzalez has signed a minor league deal with the White Sox, according to reports. The Orioles wanted to keep him in the organization, but the White Sox were aggressive from the outset.

I'm happy for Gonzalez that he at least got his $3.275 Million last year, which was the first in which he was arbitration eligible.

Gonzalez pitches against the Tide tomorrow.

I looked for him in Durham today. May have been in the dugout instead of the bullpen (close to our seats). Didn't spot him. The handout roster didn't have him listed yet, which surprised me.
