True. Joseph has done nothing of note for the offense this season. He has two less RBI than Ryan Flaherty. As in, zero.

Oh yes you can. Pena was putting up a .491 OPS in AAA. He's hit a bit in the past in the minors so we will see, but I still think Wieters catches a lot.

Pena is on the 40 man and thats probably the only reason, he got the nod.

My gut says, this is a simple 15 day trip, or DD would have worked his magic with the 40 man.

I suspect Pena will get 2 starts on Sundays and Caleb will be back.

I can't see Wieters starting 5 days in a row at this point. Maybe Pena on Thursday then Sunday, then Wednesday, then Saturday. Maybe just one of those midweek games, but I can't see Wieters starting 10 of 11 games.

You are probably right, since there is no off days, and 2 Sunday day games in the near future.

Spot on and his bat was so bad he lost at bats to someone not on the 40-man (Perez), very telling. Good CS % though.

Probably so. But I'd assume this will be the minimum 15 days before Joseph is back, unless there is more to this injury than meets the eye.

He went to the hospital, was put on DL less then 24 hours, highly like it's more the 15 days.

Remember Chris Snyder? Similar thing happen to him when he was in AZ and was out almost a month.

What's your point? Just saying Pena has been miserable in AAA with the bat. I realize how bad Joseph has been with the bat this year. All I was saying is that Pena will most likely be a zero in the lineup so expect Wieters to play more than usual.
