That's a long flight...probably longer than the one from Tokyo he took a couple months ago.

TJ actually was a much more significant piece in the structure and function of this pen than I gave him credit for.

I have been thinking the same thing.

Along the same vein, I think Rickard plays a much more important role in the current structure of the team than his numbers would suggest.

Ondrusek was garbage. Glad he's been sent down and hope we don't see him again in the majors unless the O's drop out of contention and it doesn't matter.

Roe was a better pitcher than Ondrusek. Sad that we lost him. He had numerous effective relief appearances with the O's between last year and this year, unlike Ondrusek, who pretty much always yields multiple baserunners.

Yep I agree. This was a head scratcher move.

Like signing a 32 yo middle reliever to a 4 year 36 million dollar extension

Crunch time and we can't depend on Darren O'day getting anyone out, and he is back to being lit up by LH'ers

Agree. I was against that resigning from the get-go. I'd much rather have ponied up more money to extend Andrew Miller for the 4 years, and I said so at the time. DoD makes me nervous. I think he will soon become a really really highly priced Roogey.
