It is becoming debatable if the last Arb year of Britton is even much of an asset.  His 2014-2016 brilliance guarantees an Arb award that may be too rich for who he is right now.

I don't see that.  Fans will always overrate their team's players and underrate players of other teams.

We are five games under .500. The real asset we have right now is Machado. He's had a hot July and is playing well. That's who we should be trading.

True, but I meant in regards to trade value. 

I can't remember seeing trade proposals on here where the O's were getting screwed.

The only person who knows the answer to this question is Duquette (if he's had discussions with Manny and Boras). It's certainly not you. If they don't think they can resign/extend him then trading him makes us a better team then settling for the draft pick compensation.
