A “non-blockbuster” trade I’d like to see

O’s trade for the Rockies Tom Murphy.  Not a big, sexy name but I’ve always liked him and can’t imagine it would take a ton to get him.  I know we all want to see major trades with well known players/prospects but sometimes it’s the smaller trades that can make a difference.

As a buy low with the hope he recovers well from his wrist injury?  What would be his role? Would the O’s then trade Joseph or Sisco?  AAA depth? Move him off catching?

Sell us on him. Why do the Orioles want/need him?

I wouldn't mind seeing us bring in a vet catcher.  I think W. Castillo's contribution was really underrated here last year.  Can we really blame him for all the pitching woes?  It didn't help that we lost Wallace and Chiti too. 

I would not be opposed to Sisco staying in the minors long enough for us to pick up that extra year of control.

I guess that would be helpful huh? Lol.  Honestly, there’s a lot of reasons.  He’s always been a relatively high rated prospect for the Rockies, he’s an offensive-minded catcher, he’d be good competition for Caleb and I honestly don’t think we’d have to give up a ton for him.  Just my personal opinion though.
